Water will freeze when it is lower than 0°. At this time, if the waterway of our laser cutting machine is not well antifreeze, it will cause great damage to our entire equipment. So how do we protect our laser cutting machine? What about antifreeze treatment for equipment?
Adding laser antifreeze is a good way to deal with freezing of machinery and equipment
Pay attention when adding antifreeze:
1. When the equipment is in normal use
When the laser is used frequently and continuously, professional antifreeze can be directly added
(Reminder: Antifreeze must use professional brands, such as Clariant professional antifreeze, and the antifreeze replacement cycle is 90 days;
When the ambient temperature of the laser equipment reaches above 5°C for a long time, we can replace the antifreeze with pure water. The antifreeze ratio chart should be based on the local minimum temperature every year, and the ratio should be combined with the actual use. The following experience is for reference only:
In general, MAX/Raycus/IPG lasers add 30% of the water tank capacity antifreeze, nLIGHT lasers add 25% of the water tank capacity of antifreeze)
2. When the equipment needs to be shut down for a long time:
The following steps need to be paid attention to: turn off the power of the laser equipment, turn off the power of the laser equipment, turn off the chiller, turn off the power of the laser, close the water inlet and outlet of the laser, remove the water inlet and outlet of the laser, to facilitate the drainage of the laser, drain the water in the low-temperature water pipe, and use a pressure lower than 4 kg Drain the moisture inside the laser, drain the moisture inside the laser, release the moisture inside the chiller through the drain, and the water pump inside the chiller also needs to drain the water, remove the water inlet and outlet pipes of normal temperature water, at this time you can make a mark to distinguish, remove the outer optical path The water pipe connected to the optical fiber, remove the water pipe connecting the optical fiber and the cutting head (special reminder: do not let the water flow to any part of the optical fiber and laser head), blow out the residual moisture of the optical fiber and laser head by blowing through the mouth, and use compressed air Drain the water pipes in and out of the optical path, and pay attention to sealing the water pipe joints with masking paper.
3. When the equipment needs to run but no antifreeze is added
There are several steps:
1. All water pipe connections are carefully checked to ensure that there will be no water leakage;
2. Keep the water tank working properly
3. If it is an nLIGHT laser with a water solenoid valve inside, it is necessary to turn on the main power supply and 24V power supply of the laser.
